The Grade 3s will be having a math quiz on November 8, 2016. For the quiz, students need to know the following:

- Round two-digit numbers to the nearest 10.

- Practice drawing base-ten block pictures to model 2 and 3-digit numbers
- Practice writing base-ten names
- Practice writing numbers in words
- Review how to write numbers in standard form (digits)
- Review the value of hundreds, tens, and ones digits (341 3 means 300)
- Practice ordering numbers from least to greatest
- Practice ordering numbers from greatest to least
- Review the greater than > and less than < symbols
- Practice using 3 different digits to make a variety of 3-digit numbers
- Practice rounding numbers to the nearest ten
- Practice solving word problems
- Practice composing and decomposing three-digit numbers
Students need to take home their math duotang every evening in order to be well prepared for the quiz. They must bring their duotang back to school each day as we will be reviewing the concepts in class. Thank you!
